What city has hosted the most Super Bowls? Locations, history for NFL's biggest game

The Super Bowl is one of the greatest sports spectacles in the world. Each year, it transforms the city where the game is being played into the center of the sports universe.

Throughout history, 26 different stadiums in 17 major cities (or their environs) have played host. Miami holds the record for the most Super Bowl games with 11. However, New Orleans is set to equal that mark as the site of Super Bowl 59 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Greater Los Angeles follows with eight Super Bowls. Here's a list of all the cities to host the Super Bowl, with the results of those games:

The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans will play host to its eighth Super Bowl, the most of any single location.
